Some of my more flighty friends dislike my seemingly pessimistic nature to the point where they get really angry with me; what they don’t realize is that it’s not pessimism it’s cynicism. Yeah, I’m a cynic but I’m usually optimistic. Except about my love life. I even make jokes about it. So, I’m cynical and I find what most people do to be BS.
But in no way do I associate it with pessimism, because it’s not. Cynicism may call things out as crap, but it doesn’t come from a pessimist’s edge. Does this make any sense? Okay, I’m going to ponder this further and update.
